RELAY FOR LIFE

Northside Food Pantry

Starting in the Fall of 2023, I began volunteering at a local Food Pantry located at the Wyckoff Reformed Church. Volunteering for an average of two hours per Sunday, over the course of a few months, I earned a total of 10 hours of service to support the less fortunate families in the area.
I also assisted in the opening of the Dental Branch for the pantry. Previous to this, the Food Pantry solely gave assistance through bagged and canned foods. Now, we are also able to spread support with items like mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, etc.

GYMNASTICS MEET SET UP

Winter 2024- I was given the opportunity to help prepare a college gymnasium for a gymnastics meet. With the help of other volunteers, we were able to transform this gymnasium into a fully developed gymnastics competition room ready for competitors. I earned a total of 7 hours of service.

CATCHING CLINIC

Summer of 2023- I coached and critiqued three catchers on their form and confidence behind the plate. I was also able to assist the other non-catchers in their hitting ability. Over the course of the summer I earned a total of 25 hours of service working on improving their receiving, footwork, and hitting skills.

BASEBALL CAMP

Summer 2023- I was given the opportunity to work with Coach (George) Hill at his summer baseball camp. It was a wonderful opportunity to participate in. Being able to watch something "click" with their swing or their ability to field was such a heartwarming experience. I was able to earn a total of 3 hours of service here.
